Papercraft Research

    These are the latest collections called 'Back to Basics', created by Zim and Zou, an outstanding designer from a contemporary design studio based in Nancy, France. Their paper crafts show excellent three-dimensional, color, and elaborate details. These authors work on printing based on a number of media, including paper scale, installation, graphic design, illustration, and web design.

    The characteristics of their works use retro colors to visually express toy-like images to viewers. It has high saturation and gives a lively feeling with a base of various colors. And their works have been produced for a very long time, taking a year, and are meticulously designed with fine details, which makes them stand out for their very outstanding abilities. In addition, luggage and states make components using recyclable waste paper.

    The reason why I chose this work is that their colorful colors captivated my heart. I want to make a Nintendo Switch in my Papercraft Objects project, so Zim and Zou's work is very suitable for my project as a reference. Their works will help me save elaborate details and shapes when I make a game console.
