PARAMETRIC FURNITURE/STRUCTURE SCALE MODEL: CONCEPTS AND PRELIMINARY DEFINITION
For this assignment, I choose a Lantern for my parametric furniture. Firstly, I draw a map of the object before using Rhino and Grasshopper. Some key points of this lantern are holes and shape. The shape is like a convex vessel, which can twist since it has soft material. On the inside, there is a normal cylinder-shaped light.
After that, I made a demo version of my furniture by Grasshopper. For the next step, I will put a light into this lantern and work on some details of the object.
I made an animation of the lantern which helps to understand what 'can twist' means of my map of the lantern.
